About

Hi and welcome! I am the founder/blogger/editor of Chubs Lived Here lifestyle blog, and one of my life-long passions has been to write. Ironically, it's one of the few things I have done. I have been described as "a sampler," which is putting it mildly. I am a former operating room secretary, medical biller, one-hour photo technician, photographer, grocery store clerk, factory worker, waitress, Avon lady, bridal consultant, realtor, and entrepreneur. I am your neighbor, your co-worker, and your best friend. My career as a legal secretary at one of the country's top international law firms doesn't keep me from reading and writing for enjoyment, decorating and redecorating, rescuing and advocating for pit bull type dogs, and sharing all the miscellany mishmash that we call life. Oh, and did I mention I'm a cancer survivor? So this blog is my foray into writing, and I hope you enjoy what you read.

If you're wondering about the name, Chubs Lived Here, that was my kitty. Sweet Baby Chubs was with me for 17 years. He was a rotund, 18 pound lovable ball of fur who lived in a perpetual state of shedding, but stuck with me through thick and thin. Chubs passed on in the Fall of 2011, and I thought it would be a lovely tribute to name my first blog after him. I'm not the crazy cat lady, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night...

So read on - I hope you get a giggle, shed a tear, and knowingly nod as you mm-hmm in agreement as you follow my journey at Chubs Lived Here.

Cheers!
Kelly
